Baby Heartbeat - Bump Echo
Privacy Policy
Effective October 11, 2026
Bump Echo is a private pregnancy audio keepsake. This policy explains what information the app handles, what remains on your device, and which service providers process limited technical or purchase information.
Who provides Bump Echo
Bump Echo is provided by Kenneth Marcel S De Geest, a self-employed developer based in Spain. Privacy and support questions may be sent to degeestkenneth@gmail.com.
Information stored on your device
The app stores the profile details you enter, including a parent name, optional baby name, estimated due date, onboarding preferences, and language preference. It also stores your audio recordings, recording dates and durations, titles, notes, favorites, search state, and other settings needed to operate your Soundbook.
This content is stored in the app’s local storage on your iPhone. Bump Echo does not upload recordings, titles, notes, names, or pregnancy details to a developer-operated server.
Microphone access
Bump Echo requests microphone permission only when you choose to record. Audio is captured to create the memory you requested. You can change microphone access at any time in iOS Settings.
The microphone-level display represents ordinary audio input strength. Bump Echo does not identify a fetal heartbeat, measure heart rate, diagnose a condition, or assess pregnancy or fetal wellbeing.
Sharing and device backups
Nothing is shared automatically. When you use the iOS share sheet, the selected audio file is passed to the app, service, or recipient you choose; their privacy practices then apply. Copies already shared are outside Bump Echo’s control.
Apple device or iCloud backups may include app data depending on your Apple settings. Apple processes backup information under its own privacy terms.
Analytics, diagnostics, and purchase services
Bump Echo uses the following service providers:
- Firebase Analytics to understand app interactions, including paywall views and purchase-flow events, and general product usage.
- Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports, diagnostics, device and app information needed to investigate reliability problems.
- RevenueCat to process purchase receipts, lifetime and subscription entitlement status, product selection, paywall impressions, and purchase events so access to Bump Echo can be verified, unlocked, and restored.
- Apple to process one-time lifetime purchases, subscription billing, refunds, and StoreKit transactions.
Depending on the service and your device settings, these providers may process pseudonymous identifiers, app interaction events, device and operating-system information, country or region, crash logs, diagnostics, purchase events, and lifetime or subscription access status. They do not receive your Bump Echo recordings, titles, notes, names, or due date from the app.
Bump Echo does not receive full payment-card details. The developer does not use app data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies and does not sell personal information.
How information is used
Information is processed only as needed to provide and personalize the Soundbook, record and replay audio, save and organize memories, share content at your request, verify lifetime or subscription access, restore purchases, maintain security, diagnose crashes, understand feature usage, provide support, and improve Bump Echo.
Retention and deletion
Local recordings and related details remain on your device until you delete an individual memory or remove the app. Deleting a memory removes its local audio and metadata from the active Soundbook. An unfinished but playable recording may be recovered after an unexpected app exit so that it is not silently lost.
Removing the app normally removes its local container, but device backups and copies you previously shared must be managed separately. Firebase, RevenueCat, and Apple retain limited service information according to their own retention rules and legal obligations. Because Bump Echo has no user account or developer-hosted recording library, the developer cannot remotely access or delete content that exists only on your device.
Security and international processing
Bump Echo uses iOS storage and platform security features intended to protect local information. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Service providers may process technical and purchase information in countries outside your own, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
Children
Bump Echo is intended for expecting parents and families, not for children under 13. The app does not knowingly seek personal information from children. A minor should use the app only with permission and appropriate supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
Your choices and rights
You can deny or revoke microphone permission, edit profile information, delete individual memories, remove the app, choose whether to share a recording, and manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account settings. Lifetime purchases do not renew and do not need subscription cancellation. Buying lifetime access does not cancel an existing subscription. Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights relating to personal information processed by the developer or service providers.

Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Bump Echo’s features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
